I don't have the energy for an in-depth post right now, so suffice it to say that a) I am very happy with the way things went in Minnesota, proposed-amendment-wise; and b) Pentatonix was awesome and you should all go see them if they tour through your town.

I was pleased with the proposed amendments getting shot down as well. And my city actually passed two referenda that increased the budget for the public schools. I got to explain to my younger son that I was happy to vote to increase my taxes to support the public schools even though my boys don't attend the public schools -- importance of education for everyone, yo.

I DID INDEED! :D Avi did not do the throat singing, but that's probably just as well--the sound balance was not the greatest (I don't know how much of that was down to the sound guy and how much was the venue, but there was just way too much thump in the bass), and I don't think the harmonics would have come through. They were absolutely adorable, though, and we had a good time.

Well, to be fair, we didn't--it's still illegal here, unfortunately. What we DID do was defeat a proposed amendment that would have made any eventual legalization of gay marriage a lot harder to achieve, which is no small thing.

And HOLY CRAP. Wow, Utah. Wow.
