That is all.
ETA: I lied. That's not all.
1) We had this chrysalis we were keeping in a jar on the counter, and it just hatched into a black swallowtail butterfly. So I was going about my business, and suddenly there was a butterfly on the counter. I just took it outside and stuck it on the lilac bush by the door. It's just hanging there, drying off. Whee!
2) a MEME from

Twas In The Moon of Wintertime - SMU Concert Band
This sounds like the beginning of a larger explanation. Okay, 'twas in the moon of wintertime, and then... something happened that gave life meaning? Jesus was born? Itunes is more zealous than I thought.
Something you never dared to say to anyone...?
A Nightengale Sang in Berkely Square - Vera Lynn
Yeah, I made that nightengale sing, all right. Feathery bastard told me EVERYTHING, including the location of Jimmy Hoffa's corpse! MUAHAHAA!

Um. Not touching this one, either.

There's a math on the moon, apparently. If you turn your head and squint just right, the dark patches resemble the quadratic equation!

And way cool about the chrysalis, too. I've never seen one (that was still alive) in the real world...only in butterfly gardens.

Date: 2006-08-03 08:18 pm (UTC)Every now and then, we'll find a caterpillar that looks pretty close to forming a chrysalis. Then we stick them in peanut butter jars with a stick and a handful of whatever leaves they eat and wait. We've hatched a few monarchs, but this is the first swallowtail.
