Maybe it's just a matter of perspective. I remember when "21 Jump Street" was hot stuff because its view of high school wasn't all dances and proms and cheating on papers in class - there were drugs, knifings, shootings, gangs, boosting stereos in shop class, and always, the obligatory Cocaine Hotline Phone Number at the end of about every third or fourth show, complete with voiceovers from Peter DeLuise and Johnny Depp! :-P
