Okay, so last night, I had the weirdest Lost dream EVAH. I wrote it all down right after I woke up so as not to forget, and now I shall attempt to relate it to you all in a way that makes sense.

So I am on the island with all the other lostaways, and I find a shoebox. Inside the shoebox is an arm that had been severed just below the elbow (in the dream, this is really not all that disgusting, and quite a few people handle the arm in a nonchalant way). It's a woman's arm; there are lots of big, gaudy rings on the fingers and chunky bracelets around the wrist. Along with the arm, the box also contained a few crumpled receipts that appeared to be from some sort of cinema. I am discussing this new find with another nameless castaway. I thought that since everyone on the island was connected somehow, we should just take a few of the gaudiest rings and show them around to see if anyone recognized them. Congrats to subconscious for making me the smartest damn person on the island.

Here things get a bit off track. I wind up in a building about the size of the three-car garage. It is dark, some light is coming through a few dirty windows, but that's it. The floor is covered with debris. I am in there with nameless fellow castaway and Charlie (because I am the only person on the island who tolerates his presence). We find out rather randomly that Claire's baby is dead, and there is an implication that Locke had something to do with it. So Claire, wanting a distraction, joins us in the garage. In a really poor attempt to say something sardonically cheering in regards to dead!Aaron, Charlie says, "Hey, at least you won't have to hear him cry anymore!" I inform Charlie of the fact that he is a fucking insensitive moron. Claire just ignores him. Congrats to subconscious for having Claire be cool.

As we are shuffling around in this garage, we notice a small, shiny black triangle. It looks like a shard of plastic or maybe stone, and it's skittering around the floor of its own accord. Charlie, Claire, and the nameless fellow castaway find this disturbing and want to leave, but I point out, "Maybe it just wants to be friends!" While the others look at me like I've lost it, I try to coax the black triangle out of the corner. It hesitantly crawled towards me, then nuzzles my hand (as well as a black triangle can). "See?" I say, turning back to my comrades. "You guys are all so paranoid."

Kate shows up. She is excited about my find. Here is our exact dialogue:

Kate: "Do you mind if I take this? Just for a while, I promise."
Me: "What, so you can run off and show it to Jack?! I don't think so!"

She continues to whine, so I finally half-relent and tell her that if she really wants Jack to see it, he'll have to come here, because I am not relinquishing the severed arm to anyone. This pleases her. "You are SO AWESOME!" she says to me before running off. Well, thanks, Kate.

Jack is playing around on some jungle swing that someone (probably Hurley) had rigged up. (It is my personal belief that this symbolizes Jack's tendency to "swings both ways.") Someone had just given him a large push, so I informed him that he'd better jump off if he wanted to see what I had in my shoebox (it seems I followed Kate, after all). "It's a severed arm!" Kate said, spoiling the surprise. Well, thanks, Kate.

Jack hopped off the swing and focused right in on the receipts instead of the arm itself. We were puzzling over some of the things written on it, which included, basically, a detailed account of some customer at the theater. It looked like the account was written by the movie theater employee (perhaps it was the employee's arm in the box!). The account stated that this man had come into the theater, requested to watch a film he had brought, and sat in the middle of an empty theater to watch this long, long movie. The employee nearly fell asleep a few times, because "it turned out the guy was nocturnal," and the movie took almost all night, but eventually the movie ended and the guy took it and left.

On the second receipt was the man's account of the theater experience. This is especially weird because bear in mind that both receipts were printed out, so these written accounts were actually on the receipts in small, orange, capital letters. But midway through Jack reading the account out loud, it segued into us seeing the man himself. It was… drumroll…

Kevin Spacey.

He was on the island, as it turned out, living in a little jungle bunk (literally bunk beds made of branches and leaves) with Ethan, who was alive and well, I'm pleased to say. (I think Ethan had the top bunk. Not too sure.) Spacey was this sort of inept, bumbling Other, which totally disgusted Ethan. Ethan kept upbraiding Spacey about the fact that he had lost the box somehow, which enabled me to find it in the first place. So he was tearing him a new asshole over it, calling him a joke and saying my favorite line in the whole dream: "I can't believe we lost Shannon, but we still have you." So apparently there were more Others among the castaways than we thought. Ethan and his jungle pals had been not only infiltrating the lostaways, they'd been converting people (Shannon included) to their way of thought! A few other PseudoOthers were mentioned. I think Boone and Sayid were on the list.

Anyway, the Shannon comment was apparently the big freaky pseudo-cliffhanger moment on which the show had to end. There were previews for next week's episode, part of which was filmed in the style of a 70s sitcom. They showed a shot of Jack and Kate, both dressed as if making the most of their Texas vacation and posing outrageously for the camera, and both slightly out of focus with the colors brighter than they should have been. "How will Lost cover thirty years of television in just. One. Episode?" the announcer asked.

Then I woke up.
