nobleplatypus: (daisies big grin)
First off: I made it home! The flights were long and not enough sleep was had (especially because we had the misfortune of sitting behind two boys who had reached that stage of life where they needed to shower more often than they were used to but didn't, so any time either of them moved, we were treated to an overwhelming wave of bodily funk, so THANKS FOR THAT, YOUNG SIRS), and we missed our connecting flight because Chicago O'Hare is the stupidest fucking airport in the country. Seriously, COH, you lose in every department except the bathrooms, which were kind of awesome (there were rotating toilet seat protectors).

Also, I didn't get the chance to add that Saturday did manage to end on an awesome note: we saw "Three Days of Rain" starring James Macavoy from row F, right next to the center aisle. And they made it rain onstage, which was amazing, and at the end, Macavoy wound up soaking wet in a white undershirt. My only beefs with the show: the sound guy could have turned the incidental music WAY down, and the American accents were sometimes hilariously off the mark (Macavoy did a pretty good job, and lord knows Lindsey Marshal had a hell of a job trying to learn two accents, one of them Southern, but there were plenty of moments where I kind of wanted to giggle). It was a fantastic show overall, though; I'm glad I got to see it.

Anyway. PHOTOS! This will break your dial-up into a billion pieces. )

Okay. I need to do laundry and catch up on television, but here's something to chew on until I get around to uploading part two.
